Zinc Plated Countersunk Chipboard Screw

Countersunk chipboard screws, also known as countersunk self-tapping screws or Pozi drive chipboard screws, belong to self-tapping screws. The screw features a sharp tip and large thread pitch, enabling direct screwing without pre-tapping. As the screw can form or tap matching threads by itself, it delivers high anti-loosening performance and allows repeated assembly and disassembly. When fastened into the substrate, its own threads tap, drill, extrude and compress matching threads on the workpiece to achieve tight engagement. The primary advantage of self-tapping screws is that no nut is required, which greatly saves nut costs. They have nearly unlimited engineering applications.

Process, Characteristics & Advantages

1. Zinc-plated surface treatment offers high brightness, attractive appearance and strong corrosion resistance. Multiple surface finishes are optional: white zinc plating, color zinc plating, black phosphating, grey phosphating and nickel plating.

2. Carburizing and tempering treatment provides high surface hardness, meeting or exceeding standard requirements.

3. Advanced manufacturing process brings low driving torque and excellent locking performance.

Drilling & Tapping Thickness Limits

1. The thickness of steel plate or iron plate shall not exceed 2.5 mm.

2. For plastic sheets, nylon sheets and semi-metallic plates, the thickness shall not exceed 1/4 of the screw length.

3. For wooden panels, the thickness shall not exceed 3/4 of the screw length.
